How To Enable Hibernate In Window XP

Hibernation is one of the coolest feature of Window Xp which is available in your operating system in disable mode and not default part of window Xp,but what make this feature cool Sometimes when lots of application are running on your computer and suddenly you have to leave your system and you don't want to turn of your system.Now what to do in that condition,@ that time you can enable this cool feature called Hibernation to solve your problem.

What is Hibernation ?

Hibernation is a technology used in certain operating systems. It allows to save the contents of the system memory onto a hard disk or other permanent storage. The computer can then be powered off. When it is powered up again, this information can be read again. That way the system will start up much faster.

The amount of free space on the hard disk needs to be greater than the amount of RAM in order for hibernation to work.

But this article is not about which discussed above,the main theme of the article is "How to Hibernate To Enable Hibernate" in Your system (Window XP).And to make that thing possible just follow simple and easy steps discussed below:

1.First of all Come to main screen and then Right click on Select Properties.

2.After that you will get 5 Tab called Theme,Desktop,Screensaver,Appearance and Setting (shown below in picture),tab on Screensaver tab .

3.After that you window in which you will get option called "Power" click on it.

4.When you hit power you will get another 4 options power Screen,advance,Hibernate and UPS (as shown in below picture)again tab on Hiberate option.

5.After that you will get option of Enable Hibernate just select and Click the Apply or OK button to make the changes take effect.

So next time if you feel the need for hibernate the system just go to turn off dialog box and press the shift key and your stand by option will change to hibernate

You can simple press the power button in your CPU which is situated above mine restart button in my system,this will directly hibernate your system and when you start again just again press the power button
