Again Again and Again I think i have to stop writing this world when I'm writing about Microsoft,really software giant really suits to Microsoft.And after successful release of Microsoft download manager yesterday Microsoft released Kinect for Windows SDK beta. As kinect is the hottest item for the XBox 360 and today Microsoft released a toolkit that will enable developers to take advantage of the motion sensing controller in Windows 7 as well.
Microsoft released 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Kinect for Windows SDK beta also starter kit include the SDK includes drivers,sample code and APIs.The main aim of SDk is to provide new experiences using Microsoft’s Kinect for Xbox 360 accessory.As this version of SDK is non-commercial,team is working and will tell about release of commercial SDk after some time.
This release of Kinect for Windows SDK beta by Microsoft include following feature which are discussed below:
-Raw sensor streams - Access to raw data streams from the depth sensor, color camera sensor, and four-element microphone array enables developers to build upon the low-level streams that are generated by the Kinect sensor.
-Skeletal tracking - The capability to track the skeleton image of one or two people moving within the Kinect field of view make it easy to create gesture-driven applications.
-Advanced audio capabilities - Audio processing capabilities include sophisticated acoustic noise suppression and echo cancellation, beam formation to identify the current sound source, and integration with the Windows speech recognition API.
-XYZ depth camera for standard color camera stream access and depth data that indicates the distance of the object from the Kinect camera.
